Courses

The content of our courses follows guidelines set out by the RYA. The courses are designed to fulfil these requirements; however, we try and make the learning enjoyable. We will endeavour to tailor make the course to any specific requirements that you may have.

Cruises

We aim to make our Cruises a memorable relaxing experience. The Itinerary is largely up to you, the crew can advise on routes, anchorages and places of interest

How to book

Simply complete the booking form on the web site and e-mail it onto us. We will then be in touch to confirm if your charter/course/cruise is still available. At this point we will make a provisional booking. This will be held for 7 days until payment of a 25% deposit is received. This deposit is non-refundable and is based on the total charter/course/cruise price.

The balance of the agreed charter/course/cruise is due 8 weeks before the commencement of the start date. Where the booking is made less than 8 weeks from the start date then payment in full is required.

If you cancel more than 8 weeks from the date of the charter/course/cruise, only the 25% deposit will be retained. If the cancellation is within 8 weeks from the start date of your charter/course/cruise the full cost will be retained.

If for any reason Yorvik Sailing has to cancel for any reason we will try and offer a mutually agreeable alternative, failing this a full refund will be made and Yorvik Sailing will have no further liability.

The skipper always has ultimate discretion to alter, postpone or cancel the itinerary due to inclement weather conditions, or any other circumstances which may place the vessel, crew, or charterers in any danger. There will be no further liability to Yorvik Sailing.

Children

All children under 18 are welcome but must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Insurance

Yorvik Sailing has Third Party Indemnity Insurance. Our insurance does not cover cancellation, personal accident or injury, loss of personal effects. We would recommend that you take out your own personal holiday insurance. Please make sure that it covers the activity of Coastal Waters Sailing. If we are teaching on your boat the vessel should have full comprehensive insurance.

Own Boat Tuition

Upon arrival the skipper will carry out a full safety check of your vessel any defects will be reported and if possible, rectifies to enable the course to continue. However, if the vessel is found not to be fit for the course the skipper will abandon the course no refund will be made.
