‘learning the ropes’ safely and gaining the most fun from your time out on the water is our goal.
Whether you are beginning your boating ‘journey’, looking for guidance to buy your first boat, a sailor wishing to improve your skills and confidence aboard, or simply gain a sailing qualification enabling you to charter a boat at home or abroad, we are here to help.
Yorvik Sailing is an RYA Accredited Sailing School, run by Nigel and Mo Foster, who together have over 40 years’ sailing experience in international waters. Nigel holds his RYA Yachtmaster Instructor qualification so you are definitely in safe hands. We look forward to meeting you.
We offer tuition on your own boat. Over the years we have helped people purchase and fit out their own boat allowing them to fulfil their dream. Offering advice on boat purchase, fit out, and training, holding your hand through the many pitfalls of purchasing and owning a boat.
Our belief in training and ensuring that you are both safe, confident and competent to venture out on the water in either your own boat or a charter vessel is our main goal. For parties of 4 we can arrange training on many charter vessels around the UK and abroad.

Theory based courses are key to build your skills ahead of setting sail out on the water. Our flexible teaching can be built around your individual needs, at home, in the office or classroom environment.

Training with Humberside Police
Yorvik Sailing has been helping the Humberside Police team with their training. They have two members of the team now doing the Advanced Power Boat Course in readiness for their exam and commercial endorsement.
